One of the main objectives of Ir\u00eddia is to promote the right to memory by applying the principles of truth, justice, reparation and guarantees of non-repetition of the victims and reprisals of the civil war, Francoism and the transition to democracy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Goals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The objectives of the Transitional Justice line are:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Work for the generation of access to justice for the victims and reprisals of the civil war, Francoism and the transition to democracy, as well as for their families.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Getting the Via Laietana Superior Police Headquarters to stop being a police station of the National Police and become a space of memory and reparation for the repression and torture of the Franco dictatorship.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Influence public memory policies at Catalan and state level. Specifically in the following points:\n
      \n
    • Promote the creation of a Victim Assistance Office.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Urge that a judicial investigation be initiated ex officio in the framework of the mine opening processes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Promote the development of a psychosocial support protocol in the framework of the processes of access to the truth, justice, reparation and guarantees of non-repetition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Observe the application of international standards on impunity in public memory policies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Contribute to the social processes of reparation and guarantees of non-repetition promoted by civil society.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Strengthen strategic litigation as a reporting tool for crimes committed during the civil war, the Franco regime and the transition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Participate in international networks linked to truth, memory, justice and reparation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Obtain the necessary resources for this line to be self-financing and sustainable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
