+ INFORME SOBRE VIOLÈNCIA INSTITUCIONAL 2016

This report collects all that has been done by the services during 2016, with the detail of the rights violations recorded in the context of protest, public space CIESs and prisons.

Throughout 2016, the SAIDAVI received a total of 39 applications for action on alleged human rights violations in situations of institutional violence in the framework of the penal system. Regarding these applications, the service has carried out assistance and counseling tasks, periodic visits to penitentiary centers, joint actions and referrals to other entities with expertise in specific areas. The service has assumed as its own a total of 14 cases, in which it has taken responsibility for the legal representation of the affected persons and has provided them with psychosocial support. As for the rest of the cases, legal, psychosocial or communicative interventions have been carried out on an ad hoc basis.
