The Service for Attention and Reporting Situations of Institutional Violence (SAIDAVI) offers legal and psychosocial assistance to people who suffer physical or psychological abuse by police officers, prison officials, or private security agents when performing functions delegated by the public administration, with the aim of preventing and reporting institutional violence. SAIDAVI also takes ex officio action to investigate possible violations of rights and brings charges in cases where it deems it appropriate.

It is open from 10am to 5pm (Tuesday and Thursday) and from 10am to 2pm (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).

The legal team is composed of criminal lawyers specializing in the defence of human rights. Our duties are advice, legal accompaniment and representation in legal proceedings decided by the entity.

The psychosocial team is made up of psychologists specialised in psychosocial accompaniment in situations of psychosocial trauma and political violence. The psychosocial accompaniment aims to address the reactive symptomatology of the lived experience, the recovery of coping strategies and accompaniment throughout the judicial process, thus ensuring the avoidance of re-victimisation and the empowerment of those affected. Individual, family and group attention is provided, generating a comprehensive approach to the lived experience.

SAIDAVI is financed mainly by donations from people who want to contribute to making the service possible, being approximately 60% of the total. It is also financed from public and private grants, and from contracted services such as reporting.
