Mission statement

The Service of Attention and Denunciation in situation of Institutional Violence (SAIDAVI) offers legal and psychosocial assistance to people who suffer situation of mistreatment within the framework of the Catalan penal system. It is open from 10am to 8pm, Monday to Friday. If you have suffered a situation of institutional violence, please contact us at +34 693 28 73 23 or send us an email to saidavi@iridia.cat. SAIDAVI also carries out ex officio actions to investigate possible violations of rights and exercises popular accusation in cases in which the entity considers appropriate.


Legal team

The legal team is composed of criminal lawyers specializing in the defence of human rights. Our duties are advice, legal accompaniment and representation in legal proceedings decided by the entity.


Psychosocial team

The psychosocial team is composed of professionals with experience in caring for people and groups in contexts of political violence and violation of fundamental rights.

The accompaniment is oriented towards reinforcement and resilience in case of damages and traumas. We attend affected people in a direct way, and also to their relatives and other people of their environment from and integral point of view.
